This Ethiopian Dahl, produced by Mama Alles, is a hearty and flavourful lentil-and-vegetable meal seasoned with a traditional Berbere-style spice blend. It’s a nourishing, plant-based option that’s lightweight, convenient, and well-suited to both everyday meals and outdoor adventures.

Serving size:
• 1 serving (130g dry) rehydrates to approximately 400g of prepared food

Ingredients:
Rice, red lentils, potato, onion, carrot, vegetable stock, garlic, ginger, chilli, coconut oil, salt, ground coriander, ground cumin, and Ethiopian-inspired spices.

Cooking Options

1. Hot soak: Add boiling water directly to the pouch and let stand for 12 minutes.
2. Cold soak: Add cold water and soak for 1–2 hours.
3. Stovetop: Cook for 8–12 minutes until fully rehydrated.

Each meal includes an Oryx salt & pepper sachet for seasoning to taste.
